  • God’s Purpose for His Church

    The church is God’s appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world. From the beginning it has been God’s plan that through His church shall be reflected to the world His fullness and His sufficiency. The members of the church, those whom He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light, are to show forth His glory. The church is the repository of the riches of the grace of Christ; and through the church will eventually be made manifest, even to “the principalities and powers in heavenly places,” the final and full display of the love of God. Ephesians 3:10. {AA 9.1}
  • A Broad Foundation

    The highest of all sciences is the science of soul saving. The greatest work to which human beings can aspire is the work of winning men from sin to holiness.... True education includes the whole being. It teaches the right use of one's self. It enables us to make the best use of brain, bone, and muscle, of body, mind, and heart. The faculties of the mind, as the higher powers, are to rule the kingdom of the body. The natural appetites and passions are to be brought under the control of the conscience and the spiritual affections. Christ stands at the head of humanity, and it is His purpose to lead us, in His service, into high and holy paths of purity. By the wondrous working of His grace, we are to be made complete in Him. {MH 398.4}
  • A True Knowledge of God

    Like our Saviour, we are in this world to do service for God. We are here to become like God in character, and by a life of service to reveal Him to the world. In order to be co-workers with God, in order to become like Him and to reveal His character, we must know Him aright. We must know Him as He reveals Himself. A knowledge of God is the foundation of all true education and of all true service. It is the only real safeguard against temptation. It is this alone that can make us like God in character. {MH 409.2}
  • Danger in Speculative Knowledge

    One of the greatest evils that attends the quest for knowledge, the investigations of science, is the disposition to exalt human reasoning above its true value and its proper sphere. {MH 427.1}

    “The Son of man will come in the clouds of heaven in his own glory and the glory of His Father, and of all the holy angels. There will be no lack of honor and glory. In that day the law of God is to be revealed in its majesty, and man, who has broken that law and stood in defiant rebellion against its holy precepts, will understand that that law which he has despised, discarded and trampled underfoot is God's standard of character…. The trump of God will be heard resounding through earth's remotest bounds, and the voice of Jesus will call forth the dead from their graves to immortal life… The just . . . shall come forth from all parts of the earth, from rocky caverns, from dungeons, from caves of the earth, from the waters of the deep--not one is overlooked.”
  • The Spirituality of the Law

    The Spirituality of the Law
  • The Lord came from Sinai,
    And rose from Seir unto them;
    He shined forth from Mount Paran,
    And He came from the ten thousands of holy ones:
    At His right hand was a fiery law unto them.
    Yea, He loveth the tribes;
    All their holy ones are in Thy hand:
    And they sat down at Thy feet;
    Everyone received of Thy words."
    Deuteronomy 33:2, 3, R.V., margin

    It was Christ who, amid thunder and flame, had proclaimed the law upon Mount Sinai. The glory of God, like devouring fire, rested upon its summit, and the mountain quaked at the presence of the Lord. The hosts of Israel, lying prostrate upon the earth, had listened in awe to the sacred precepts of the law. What a contrast to the scene upon the mount of the Beatitudes! Under the summer sky, with no sound to break the stillness but the song of birds, Jesus unfolded the principles of His kingdom. Yet He who spoke to the people that day in accents of love, was opening to them the principles of the law proclaimed upon Sinai. {MB 45.1}

An exegesis of the character and word of brethren

“We greatly desire that at this time the Holy Spirit may show every professing Christian the fullness and perfection of Christ’s atoning sacrifice. It was a whole and entire sacrifice that Christ made for the sins of the world. We are living and working and breathing in a low atmosphere. Now and then we get glimpses of Christ, but much selfishness is manifested. Our failure to appropriate the grace of Christ leaves us defective and faithless, unable correctly to represent Christ. By clinging to self, ministering to our selfish interests, we dishonor God, and the sacred word we minister is made to taste of the uncleansed vessel through which it is communicated. Self is so largely revealed that the sacredness of the truth is lost sight of.”

The end times

As a logical outgrowth of believing in original sin, the Catholic Church developed a strong doctrine of infant baptism. Only by their sacrament of sprinkling could the curse of Adam’s guilt be removed from the baby. Since the child’s salvation hinged upon a proper baptism, absolute priority was assigned to that ritual.

God alone is God, and He alone is righteous. Man without God is totally depraved. There is no inherent “good” or “righteousness” in him. His thoughts, emotions and works are evil. Man needs God’s righteousness in him. In order for him to receive this righteousness, he must first be made aware of his depravity by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, by God temporally taking away the carnal mind or consciousness of sinful values, so that man can see His righteousness.  The conditions of repenting and believing must be fulfilled in order that man may receive this righteousness, thus experience the “new birth” or the renewing of his mind. The maintenance of this “new birth” in sanctification is required day by day, and the keeping of God’s Ten Commandments, thus being found faithful to this calling all the way to the end, the man will pass safe in the judgment and dwell will God in heaven forever.

Truth Snak: “Satan’s modus operandi”:

1.Satan has a modus operandi. He will always move us in the direction of self-satisfaction at the expense of obedience to God, service to God, or service to others, so that we elevate ourselves over the others. 2.The primary means for Satan to manipulate us was through disinformation and affecting our attitudes. The purpose for this is to move our reasoning processes toward satisfaction of the”self”. This is especially perverse because satisfaction of the self is not of and by itself intrinsically evil, but putting self before God and others is. What then is Satan’s aim—it is, trying to push our reasoning processes toward satisfaction of the self—that is,and has been his aim because this is the essence of sin,Jam1:14 ”but each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed.”

A man, who does not love the law of God, does not love the Gospel, neither does he love God. For the Law as well as the Gospel is a mirror reflecting the true character of God.This leads others to misunderstand, thus leads to the perils of the evils of sin, the extent of it, and the demerit of it.  In the proportion to the rightfulness of the commandments is the wrongfulness of disobedience of the Law.  Affiliated to the dangers already named, is the danger of understanding the justice of God.

The new theological prims puts asunder what God has joined together.  The tendency on the modern pulpit is to strain out the divine benevolence, to sink God’s love down to a sentiment, rather than to exalt it as a principle.

Is the Divine Law of God a good or is it an evil?  It is a good, then justice is good, for it is a deposition to exalt the law. Continue reading

Hell Fires Are Not Forever !

Today we live in a world where almost all of humanity are engrossed in the pursuit  of gaining the comforts of this life.This challenges the economy of our time as we work, study, play, sleep, being caught up in the activities of each day. We become then, so  dependent on those who are ” qualified in various fields ” , we see the Mechanic when our vehicle is not performing properly , the Doctor when we are not feeling well, and so on. Even the religious aspects of our lives we leave up to our ministers who are supposed to be qualified in the way of the truth, and we take their every word as if it were the very word of God. However, we are warned that many false prophets shall arise and deceive many, therefore we are admonished to study for our selves as we are saved only with truth and as individuals . Matt. 24 : 4 & 5, 2Tim. 2 : 15, 2Cor. 5 : 10.
