  • God’s Purpose for His Church

    The church is God’s appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world. From the beginning it has been God’s plan that through His church shall be reflected to the world His fullness and His sufficiency. The members of the church, those whom He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light, are to show forth His glory. The church is the repository of the riches of the grace of Christ; and through the church will eventually be made manifest, even to “the principalities and powers in heavenly places,” the final and full display of the love of God. Ephesians 3:10. {AA 9.1}
  • A Broad Foundation

    The highest of all sciences is the science of soul saving. The greatest work to which human beings can aspire is the work of winning men from sin to holiness.... True education includes the whole being. It teaches the right use of one's self. It enables us to make the best use of brain, bone, and muscle, of body, mind, and heart. The faculties of the mind, as the higher powers, are to rule the kingdom of the body. The natural appetites and passions are to be brought under the control of the conscience and the spiritual affections. Christ stands at the head of humanity, and it is His purpose to lead us, in His service, into high and holy paths of purity. By the wondrous working of His grace, we are to be made complete in Him. {MH 398.4}
  • A True Knowledge of God

    Like our Saviour, we are in this world to do service for God. We are here to become like God in character, and by a life of service to reveal Him to the world. In order to be co-workers with God, in order to become like Him and to reveal His character, we must know Him aright. We must know Him as He reveals Himself. A knowledge of God is the foundation of all true education and of all true service. It is the only real safeguard against temptation. It is this alone that can make us like God in character. {MH 409.2}
  • Danger in Speculative Knowledge

    One of the greatest evils that attends the quest for knowledge, the investigations of science, is the disposition to exalt human reasoning above its true value and its proper sphere. {MH 427.1}

    “The Son of man will come in the clouds of heaven in his own glory and the glory of His Father, and of all the holy angels. There will be no lack of honor and glory. In that day the law of God is to be revealed in its majesty, and man, who has broken that law and stood in defiant rebellion against its holy precepts, will understand that that law which he has despised, discarded and trampled underfoot is God's standard of character…. The trump of God will be heard resounding through earth's remotest bounds, and the voice of Jesus will call forth the dead from their graves to immortal life… The just . . . shall come forth from all parts of the earth, from rocky caverns, from dungeons, from caves of the earth, from the waters of the deep--not one is overlooked.”
  • The Spirituality of the Law

    The Spirituality of the Law
  • The Lord came from Sinai,
    And rose from Seir unto them;
    He shined forth from Mount Paran,
    And He came from the ten thousands of holy ones:
    At His right hand was a fiery law unto them.
    Yea, He loveth the tribes;
    All their holy ones are in Thy hand:
    And they sat down at Thy feet;
    Everyone received of Thy words."
    Deuteronomy 33:2, 3, R.V., margin

    It was Christ who, amid thunder and flame, had proclaimed the law upon Mount Sinai. The glory of God, like devouring fire, rested upon its summit, and the mountain quaked at the presence of the Lord. The hosts of Israel, lying prostrate upon the earth, had listened in awe to the sacred precepts of the law. What a contrast to the scene upon the mount of the Beatitudes! Under the summer sky, with no sound to break the stillness but the song of birds, Jesus unfolded the principles of His kingdom. Yet He who spoke to the people that day in accents of love, was opening to them the principles of the law proclaimed upon Sinai. {MB 45.1}

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

For centuries upon centuries men and woman alike have given their views as to who Jesus Christ is. At times he is viewed as god; a god; a godly man; at times as a mere man ; a prophet ; a deceiver ; a savior and the list goes on and on. Many love him and many hate him , but just who is this Jesus ?
The bible gives the answer to this question, though this same bible is used by men to their fancy for their own personal and religious beliefs, as to who Jesus is. Thus creating confusion and causing doubt in the minds of the people on this subject, as among many others.
However the bible is very clear on this subject and rightly interpreted there is no confusion as to whom Jesus is. Let us now put aside the many false views of men and read what the Bible says……..
We read in Phil. 2. : 6..”Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be qual with God:”
None could be in the form of God except He is God. Jesus in His nature contains the same state of being as God. The Bible says that He is “equal with God”
These statements would be of the highest blasphemy if they were not true. It states in the book of John 5. : 16 – 18..”And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him,because he had done these things on the sabbath day.”
“ But Jusus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work”.
“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath,(that is only in their’s, the Jews , estimation) but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God”.
The Jewish rulers in general never accepted the Messiahship of Jesus but they hated Him ; however they did understand that the term “Son of God” means “God in the flesh : One equal with God”. As Jesus showed that “God is His Father”.
As Jesus is God, He can reveal God ; for only God can reveal God. Heb. 1 : 1 – 3 reads.. “God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brighness of his glory, and the express image of his person……………….”
The Bible is very clear and very detailed of Christ’s deity ! It shows that Christ is the brightness of God’s glory. God,s glory is evedince of His literal presence… Exodus 29 : 43—46 reads…”And there will I meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory………………..And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God………that I may dwell among them ;I am the LORD their God.”
Notice, the sanctuary is sanctified by God’s glory as evidence of His literal presence.
Again we read; Ex. 29 : 43. “ And I WILL MEET with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by MY GLORY “ Read also Ex. 40 : 34 – 38, 2Chronicles 5 : 13 + 14, Ex. 9 : 3+4, Rev. 15 : 8.
John records in the book of Revelation 21 : 22 + 23 concerning the new Jerusalem ::::
“ And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it, for the GLORY of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
So we understand that Christ being the glory of God, means that God revealed Himself in the Person, Office of the Son. Literally God the Divine Nature in a temple of flesh. Rightly interpreted Jesus Christ is God the Creator revealed in a temple ( body ) of flesh for the purpose of bringing salvation to mankind.
As we continue to read in the book of Hebrews 1 : 3 which states that Jesus Christ the Son of God …… “ is the EXPRESS IMAGE OF THE PERSON OF GOD” These are very, very strong implication that cannot be refuted unless for the obvious reason of dethroning the kingship of Christ ! However let us examine this statement a bit closer. The word image means “ a visual representation of an object or person “ So Christ is to mankind, in the plan of redemption, a visual representation God. Not in visual representation of shape and form, for the bible shows that God has no shape and form, so the physical body of Christ is not God, but the Divine Nature in Him. (This at once does away with all forms of idol worship, as commanded in Ex. 20 : 4+5 and throughout the bible).
. We therefore do not worship the body of Christ who is the express image of God but we understand that Christ reveals expressly what the character of God is. The image of God = the character of God. John 13 : 8 + 9 reads “ Philip saith unto to him, Lord show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father;……..” Knowing Jesus is knowing exactly who the Father is. Psalm 86 : 15 “ But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”
Christ stated many, many, times that He is God. Even His works revealed that He is God.
John 5 : 58, “ Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.”
The I AM of the bible is reavealed in Exodus 3 : 13 + 14.”And Moses said unto God, Behold when I come unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, The God of our fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say unto me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them?
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
Christ openly stated that He is THAT I AM ! He is the God of Israel, the God of the whole earth , the God of all nations, languages and people. The God of the universe. Christ is the self existing God.
Again Christ states in John 10 : 30, “I and my Father are one.” Not as two persons working as one for a said purpose, but Christ is stating that He and the Father are one in nature. The One Divine Nature operating in the person office of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As termed in the bible ; “The Godhead.”
Christ, who is God was prophecised to be in the world ; Isaiah 9 : 6 reads “ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseler, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 7 : 14, Matt.1 :23, Matt. 2 : 11, 1Tim. 3 : 16
Yes my friends Jesus is God and I invite you to accept him for he is also our Savior..To deny Him does not changes who He is for there is salvation in none other.
Jesus Himself warns us in the book of John 8 : 23 + 24 “And He said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
I SAID THEREFORE UNTO YOU, THAT YOU SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: FOR IF YE BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS.”
Salvation is still available to all, if you have not chosen Christ as yet do not delay……..For to know Him is Life Eternal. May you be blessed as you give your life, and all of your sins to Christ who loves you and gave His life as a provision for you.
